Backed up

I love taking photos. Although I do enjoy the post work involved, sometimes I get lazy, finish a few, then forget about the rest for a while. I finally decided to finish up some work form the past before i get too back logged.

Finally

The weather has been getting nice again finally which is great news because I've been dying for some nice sun setting on location shots. I also wanted to start taping behind the scenes stuff for this site. One out of two aint bad.

Today I was meeting up with a friend who Im helping with a little project of his. I was also going to take some photos of a costume for said project if we had time. We started talking about shoots and locations that would really make it all work on the drive to my house.
Next thing I know Im packing up my gear and we're rushing out of the house to beat the sunset.

Just lighten up.. and shoot

Every now and then I find myself wanting to go with bigger lights. Something like Alien Bee 600's. Michael and Andy from lightenupandshoot.com remind me that what I have is all I need to create stunning images. They also motivate me to just go out there and shoot.

I found them by chance on youtube as I was looking for videos of the Westcott Apollo setup features.

After I watched this random video of two guys in Columbia showing their "backpacker's studio," I was hooked. (video after the break)
